For some brooms we use the fibre of Sorghum, the varieties with a great  sugar content are staple for many people. Varieties with a great content of celluslose are used energetically. The robust fibre predestine the panicles and stalks for the production of street brooms (in Germany also called "Reisstrohbesen").

Depending on what kind of characteristics the sound shall have, or the panicle or the stalk of the plant ist used to form the broom.
